Nick "The Ninja" Mann
Hey guys. This is Nick Mann from ICW. I'm putting up this gimmick in hopes of future inter-fed rivalries between NGW and ICW. I'm a level 13 Tech and an active Role Player. Be sure to check me out on ICW Borderline on Wednesdays. Here's my gimmick:
http://tinypic.com/r/33udb92/
Name: Nick Mann
Fan Reaction: Face => cross over to heel
Height: 6'2
Weight: 250 lbs
Hometown: Okinawa Japan
Physical Appearance: Asian, tanned, thin yet muscular.
Background:
Brought up in Okinawa, place of origin of the great Japanese martial art Karate, Naito was the youngest of three brothers. His father was a sensei at a Karate Academy in Okinawa, where he trained and fought many of the modern greats, such as Chuck Norris, Jean Claude Van Dumb and Jackie Chan! Naito was the runt of the litter, as he would always be forced to do extra work by his brothers whenever he tried to practice. Nevertheless, he was first in his class of 5,002 students , which made his father very proud and at the same time made his brothers very jealous of their Father's favour with Naito so one day they decided to frame Naito with a very serious crime. The punishment for such a crime was the stripping of all his honor and banishment from the Island. Later it was found that his brothers, Kotetsu and Akka, were responsible for the crime, and they were both banished as a result.
Naito, newly self-christened Nick, ran to America where he found refuge with a Karate master called David Carradine who was a friend of his father. Nick served under this master until he [the master] died. The karate dojo was then bulldozed and re-modelled into a wrestling academy. Nick remained there and honed his skills in high flying and submission moves. He graduated at the top of his class of again, 5,002 students.
He later met up with his brothers, who apologized to him and brought him a sword made by Jet Li , a gift given to their Father that Nick admired. Nick readily accepted their apologies and renamed his brothers Kotestsu and Akka to Chris and Alex respectively. They then went their seperate ways, vowing to again unite one day. In the meanwhile Nick looked to join a wrestling federation in honour of his fat uncle, who was a legendary Sumo wrestler.
After only a few months of facing against many wrestlers in the independent circuit in the U.S., Nick Mann was signed to WPF where he made his debut. Once there, he made many enemies like Cowboy From Hell, Shaka, and Jon CJ Graham; but he also made a strong alliance with Mfirdie and vowed to stay at his side.
As WPF closed down without notice, Nick Mann once again rejoined and dominated the independent circuit until he tracked down his partner and his long time enemy Jon CJ Graham. It was only fate that they were both signed to ICW, and so Nick Mann set off to impress ICW scouts. After many amazing matches and a surplus in fans, Nick Mann was drafted into ICW.
On his ICW debut, Nick Mann alluded to a long-time enemy. That same night, one of his allies, Mfirdie, apparently attacked Jon CJ Graham. Over the next few weeks, Jon was on the receiving end of many attacks which he attributed to Mfirdie. It was later revealed that in all the previous cases that Nick Mann was the assailant. In a twist of events, Nick Mann lost his first real match against Jon CJ Graham. Desperate for revenge, Jon requested for a match against Mfirdie at the ICW Pay-Per-View Conscription, but was denied. Also desiring a re-match, Nick Mann persuaded the GM Mike Steel to book him in a match against Jon CJ Graham. Nick Mann's endeavour, however, was not as successful as he had hoped. Losing to Jon CJ Graham once again, Nick Mann broke his code of self discipline and attacked Jon CJ Graham once again. The fight became even more heated when Mfirdie added himself into the mix. Mfirdie and Nick Mann took the upper hand against Jon CJ Graham until a mysterious "fan" attacked the both of them and helped up a disfigured Jon. Jon has since re-christened himself and now goes by Devon Caine. Nick Mann continues his hatred for him and the mysterious fan in the crowd, whom he now seeks out for revenge.
On his second season at ICW, the roster was split apart with Nick Mann ending up on Borderline with his ally, Mfirdie, as GM. However, longtime rival, Devon Caine, was drafted into the ICW Main Show leaving their feud dormant. While on Borderline, Nick Mann was put in numerous No. 1 Contendership Matches and Title Matches due to his close relationship with the GM; however, Nick Mann did not win a single match, and so failed to capture the ICW Legends Title. Eventually, Mfirdie was forced to put Nick Mann's contract on the line in his next match due to his lack of victories. Nick Mann faced Thorns Michaels and won the match by making Thorns Michaels forfeit due to injury from being locked in his deadly Ninja Clutch. Following his victory, Nick Mann won a No. 1 Contendership match for the ICW TV Championship against undefeated newcomer, 'The Future' Rex Draven on ICW's Main Show. That Sunday, at the ICW Pay-Per-View, World War 3, Nick Mann captured the title from christopher benoit after making him tap out to his deadly Assassin's Sleeperhold; thus, successfully shifting the ICW TV Championship onto Borderline.
As the Ninja's third season at ICW began, he joined Borderline's first stable, The Internationals, with tag partner Mfirdie and new ally, General Muscleman. The Internationals began to dominate both in and outside the ring, defeating all who stood in their way. Nick Mann took part in the ICW I Quit Tournament to crown a new ICW Legends Champion. Nick Mann made it all the way to the semi-finals only to be eliminated by former TV Champion, christopher benoit. Thus, after his loss and unsuccessful attempt at getting into the I Quit Tournament Finals, Nick Mann defended his title against Silent Creed in a losing effort. By the end of the season, Nick Mann was the longest reigning ICW TV Champion in the title's history.
On the ICW's fourth season, Nick Mann appeared on Borderline without his title, but did not compete in the ring. Nick Mann set out on a quest back to Okinawa to train and rehabilitate himself, looking to gain back his in-ring ferocity and thus leaving The Internationals one man short. At the same time, Mfirdie lost his position as General Manager of Borderline to General Muscleman, and was subsequently fired by the latter. After Mfirdie's firing, the Internationals are currently perceived as disbanded.
On ICW's fifth season, Nick Mann and General Muscleman recruited Rex Havok and Argantaustika into the Internationals. However, Nick Mann quickly re-named their group to the Hardcore Exclusives, something that Rex Havok inspired him with. The name became even more fitting for the group as General Muscleman resigned all his positions in ICW over to his cousin, Sami 'Hardcore' Callihan. From the day the stable was formed, Nick Mann always brings his faithful Kendo stick to the ring, in case a situation arises for the necessity of it's utilization. Nick Mann became a free agent and has begun wrestling on the ICW Main Show for the first time in over 3 seasons. His main goal as of now, re-gain the TV Championship with some new techniques he learned from his training in Okinawa.
